Family Constellations training
1. If I intend to become a family constellations facilitator, what kind of certificate do I need to be accredited worldwide? There are the Constellators International (CI), the ISCA and the IPASC. They all have pros and cons and it’s up to you which on you will join. Mind you, none of these will give you coverage for an insurance, as family constellations is not evidence based (yet) and therefore not part of any insurance package. 2. Can you provide the roadmap to finish training for me? How much time and money do I need to invest? First, you do the foundation training, which takes just over a year, one weekend a month, then you can join the intensive practitioner training, 27 June till 3 July 2027 week one, and after 3 months break a second intensive week between 31 Oct and 8 Nov 2027. Or you can do the practitioner training in the same format as the foundation training, 1 weekend a month, for a whole year. Do I need to pass any test to certify? No. You need to have been present and have actively participated for at least 90 hours to be eligible for membership at the abovementioned organisations. The course does include a written reflection or assignment as part of the training. 4. If I cannot attend some of the scheduled training days, will there be any tutoring or online retake teaching? How many hours can I miss to still get the certificate? At the end you will receive a certificate with the number of hours that you have attended. Everybody will get the certificate, even if it says you gave only attended 20 hours. You will need this to apply to the international organisations for family constellations. For these you will need a minimum of 90 hours of training. If you miss some days, you can attend regular workshops for free, to make up for the number of hours. These will not be registered on your course certificate. Any missed theory can be caught upon in supervision. X hours of supervision are included in the training. Alternatively you can catch up on the hours in the training the year after. 5. Can I join the Practitioner training when I have attended a foundation training somewhere else? Yes, you can. The principles of systemic work are so universal that you will have a good foundation. If there may be any gaps, these will be picked up on in the training, because it is so individual and hands-on. And all principles will be reiterated, broadened and deepened, so there is ample opportunity to rehearse and fill in any hiatuses you may have. 6. Can I have my supervision together with a classmate? Yes, you can. You can use your hours together and learn from each other and as such have more hours in total.
Family Constellations workshops
1. I don't really know what exactly my problem is. Don't worry. We can figure out what the problem is. There will be an initial talk in which we explore what you are struggling with or aiming for, and that will clarify a lot. The rest will become clear in the constellation itself. 2. What is the difference between Issue Holder (Case) and representative? When you are an issue Holder the whole group works on your issue together. The other members will be representatives for the relevant elements in your constellation. As such thye will get a lot of healing too, due to overlap in presentations, that is always there. 3. Do my family have to be present? Family members don't need to be present because Family Constellations works with representatives who stand in for family members. The approach works with the notion that systemic family dynamics can be accessed and revealed through these representatives, allowing the constellation to unfold without the actual relatives attending. 4. How can these representatives know what to say in the constellation? In Family Constellations, representatives are invited to notice and express the feelings, sensations, impulses, or movements that arise when they stand in for someone in the family system. Practitioners view these responses as information emerging from the constellation process, helping reveal underlying dynamics and patterns. The exact mechanism is interpreted differently by different people and traditions. 5. Can I do a constellation for someone else? you can do a constellation for your child(ren), but nobody else. This has to do with the principle that everyone has to carry their own fate. Often your children have taken on things from you and so you can relieve them. Because it is yours what they're carrying. 6. I did a constellation but it didn't help. Sometimes we have multiple entanglements relating to one theme. So for the symptoms to subside you would have to disentangle them all. Also, sometimes it takes a bit longer for the system to reset, especially when the issue was a big one. So then it can be harder to relate the improvement to the constellation.
